The Dream Remembrance Recipe
An 8-step recipe to speak with your dreams—and receive their guidance.
We don’t come into this world alone.
We are not expected to live out our lives here without guidance.
No matter where we are, no matter what we’ve lost, no matter what has been taken from us—we still have our dreams.
Dreams are an unstoppable force.
It reminds me of Pablo Neruda’s famous line—“you can cut all the flowers, but you cannot stop spring from coming.”
You can stay up late. You can have fractured sleep for years with child rearing, illness or insomnia. You can refuse to rest at all. But eventually you will fall asleep. And, when you sleep, you dream.
All of us dream every single night.
Even if you don’t remember them—every night your consciousness is hand-delivering you messages from your deeper knowing. When we dream, we step away from our day-to-day reality to get a shaman’s-eye view of our life.
Dreams are not the random firings of our brains.
They are missives from your wider self—stories from the soul of the world—that are meant to help you navigate your life.
Dreams are a direct, un-severable connection to our own soul. They are the phone line to that-which-is-beyond that never goes dead. Which is exactly why we so deeply need them.
In the 1950s researchers undertook a series of sleep deprivation studies. In them they found that even if people got the proper amount of sleep their body needed to perform all its nightly tasks, if they were not allowed to reach REM sleep—the point in our sleep cycle when we dream—their psyches slowly unraveled.
As humans, we must dream.
We must dream because it’s how we stay sane in a world that is sometimes insane.
We must dream because dreaming is how we reconnect to our own wider selves—and the font of guidance, available to us all, that is here to help us through this life.
Over the last 10+ years teaching people about dreamwork, I’ve heard (and experienced first-hand) all manner of miracle dreams.
Dreams that are visitations from loved ones on the other side. Dreams that show you past lives. Dreams that show you future lives. Dreams that alert you to conceptions, accidents, fated meetings. Dreams that deliver entire manuscripts, inventions or bodies of artwork. Dreams that tell you exactly what decision to make next in your life. Dreams that open a portal to your own soul, helping you remember why you are here.
I got a deep message during my intuitive reading for July that our dreams will be coming in strong this month.
Like how solar flares periodically turn up in volume, bringing big energies to the Earth. The volume is getting turned up on our dreams—arriving in big waves of energy, and potential— because we need them right now.
We need them to navigate our own personal transformations, illuminations and storms—but we also need them because the planet needs us to bring through, and remember, soul-level solutions to the big clouds looming.
So, in whatever way you can this month, pay attention to your dreams. Court them. Ask for them. Write them down.
Keep a piece of paper by your bedside table. Record snippets on your phone in the middle of the night. Pay attention to even your smallest dreams, because those are seeds being planted. Follow your dreams guidance, whenever you can.
Create space for the nightly wisdom-state that is dreaming, and remember that this is who you are—a dreamer.
Someone who has the ability to dream a new world into being.

Because there’s a reason why you were sent into this existence with the ability to dream…
You were meant to be a dreamer of the next world coming.
In the remembering, Asia
