The Missing Ingredient to Healing
How storms guide you back to your inner knowing

I go through stormy periods in life.
Times when I’m stuck in emotional downpours, unexplained sickness, unmovable pain.
Times when the weather comes in and the rain settles over everything like pollen and I’m simply…here, for a while.
Whenever the storms come, I start searching.
Maybe you do too.
I search for a route out, a respite under the trees, a place where I can feel the sun on my face.
I search for that thing that will make me feel better.
The thing that will magically make the pain go away.
So often that search leads me to other people’s answers—the forum on Reddit, the study that went viral, what worked for that one person on Instagram.
These answers can help. Sometimes they are the very things that enable me to take that next step forward, or hand me an umbrella under the dripping canopy.
But sometimes, even when I follow all the suggestions—I do the protocol to a tee, I take all the supplements, I listen to the meditation daily—there is something missing.
The way out ends in another mud track.
The leaves of the canopy bend inwards, and water still comes funneling down.
The sun on our faces still doesn’t shift our mood.
We found an answer, but it still wasn’t our answer. And something inside of us is still searching.
It’s in times like these when I must remind myself what the most essential ingredient to healing actually is.
In this week’s podcast, I talk about why you —your inner knowing, your intuition, your connection to the living world, your self-trust—are the missing ingredient to healing.
And how reconnecting to yourself is how you remember the wholeness that is always available to you.

In an epoch when we are inundated by information—a time when we have seemingly endless access to answers—your ability to connect to your own intuition…
To know what is true for you…
To trust that which brings you closer to your soul, parting the clouds within your own existence…
Will be the most important, the most rare, and precious, medicine of all.
Because this was what the storm was guiding us towards all along—the way back home.
